We'll always have Paris...

Paris...One of my favorite cities, so I was very happy when I got a trip to this beautiful city! Everytime I go to it seems like I have to little time to do everything. This was the first time I went in the summer, and I have to say: Paris is even more fabulous in the summer!

I stayed in the 16th arrondissement which is a very trendy and lively neighborhood to stay. And...it's very close to the Marais, a very nice neighborhood to shop, if you're into vintage shopping. On the Rue de la Sainte-Croix you'll find a lot of vintage shops such as Free'P'Star and Vintage By Ramin. Free 'P' Star was definitely my favorite. I could search for cool stuff for hours...But not only vintage shops. There's also Bazar de la Mode, a big discount shop where you can find brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Guess. And Pierre Herme, if you love heavenly macarons...

The Lomography shop is a definite must see: in this store you'll find all kinds of analogue camera's!!

On the Rue de Rivoli there are a lot of big stores such as Zara and H&M. But small boutiques also. And OMG! I was so happy when I saw the big Sephora! Shopped my beauty must haves as well.

If you walk straight ahead on the Rue de Rivoli you'll reach the Louvre  at a certain point. And the romantic bridge Pont des Arts is very nearby.

This was also a very special trip for me...I got engaged! At the Pont des Arts my dearest hubby to be asked me to marry him! For me this trip was a good combination of shopping, culture and love...

Au revoir Paris!

Summer Beauty Musthaves

The summer has officially strated, so I wanted to share my favorite summer beauty products with you. So here you are, my secret summer beauty basket! ;)

Getting Summerproof
First I like to prepare my body for the sun with a scrub. I love this one from Rituals. Smells and feels good, and leefs your skin feeling extra soft. Next up, I have my beauty musthave 8 hour cream  by Elizabeth Arden. I mostly use this as a lipbalm, I hate dry lips.

 Summer Hair
Then my mustahve hair products. I love this sea salt spray by Toni&Guy; It gives my hair texture and smells so damn good. The Mythic Oil by L'oreal leaves your hair soft without weighing it down. And helps to protect your hair against the sun.

Summer skincare
When it's sunny, I like to protect my skin a little bit more. This suncreen spray by Biodermal is perfect! I have a very dry skin and this cream hydrates my skin, whithout leaving any tracks! I wear sunglasses ofcourse, but when it's sunny I like to hydrate the fragile skin underneath my eyes. This Time Miracle Eye cream by Madara is great!

Summer make-up
When the sun is out, I don't really like to wear too much make up. But when I do, I like to use the Prolongwear concealer by Mac and the Velvet foundation by Christian Drummond. It leaves your skin looking flawless, without looking to 'make-up ish'. And for that perfect glow, I use the Saùde Pele Radiance Booster by Christian Drummond.

Summer nudes
The nude trend...I love it! On my lips as on my nails! The Perfect Rouge by Shiseido is most def my favorite! It brengs out the rest of your face. The Effet 3D Lipgloss by Bourjois is a great gloss to add to the pink collection.  And the nude nails...I chose this one by Catrice beacuse it isn't too expensive and I love the color!

So that's it! Let me know what your favorite summer beauty product is!

Sephora Sadness

I love Sephora. The first time I went to the Sephora store was in New York City and I immediately fell in love. I saw brands I didn't know. Ow and ofcourse the fact that the people who work there know what they're talking about. Ok ok one more; I could do my make up there every night before going out. So you can understand my excitement when I heard Sephora was opening their doors in the Netherlands!

And then...

Someone got the sh*tty idea to close all the Sephora stores in Holland. So I went to get my last minute fixes. All the stores were supposed to close the 1th of May, but there's one store that will be open till the 25th of May; the Sephora store in Rotterdam. So you know where to go for the last beauty deals!

The launch of 'Selected by Helena Christensen'

Yesterday I went to the launch of the 'Selected by Helena Christensen' collection for Specsavers. And I had a blast! Especially when I met the drop dead gorgeous Helena Christensen! And she was so nice; told me that she LOVED my outfit. Whoohooo!

The launch took place in the beautiful The Grand Hotel in Amsterdam. Good wine and delish chique bites!

Which glasses do you think look better on me? The white or the black ones?

With the lovely Helena Christensen and my friend Shylia Yvonne

I really enjoyed myself during this event! And I got to meet some lovely people :)
