Shoot Be First

A while ago, I did a shoot for Be First A store located near Amsterdam. They sell beautiful gowns and dresses, and a wide variety of them. Every shoot is a challenge, but I've never done a shoot in these kind of fabrics and dresses; and it was fun! I'm not a princess dresses kind of girl( well, except for my wedding), but it was nice to play dress up and feel like a princess for a day...

What do you think of the results?

Flashback Friday: The Oscars 2014!

Every year I look forward to the Oscars. Not only to find out who actually won an Oscar, but ofcourse the red carpet fashion! In the Netherlands we don’t really have these big, glamorous events were celebs dress up to the max.
A huge trend on the carpet this year: a lot of fabric! More is not always more, but in some cases it worked out pretty good.  And in some cases…not so much. I really don’t get how some stylists don’t choose a suits the body of their client the right way.  I really thought some of the ladies were wearing the wrong color for their skin tone or just the wrong dress for their body type…

Favs:
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior. Simple, but beautiful!

Lupita Nyong’o in Prada. A fairy tale and the color of her dress is a nice contrast against her beautiful skin.

Sandra Bullock in Alexander Mc Queen. This is most definately one of my favorite looks. Hair and make up or on point and the dress is tailored perfect for her body.

Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein Collection. She shows how a simple and clean look can be very glamorous. And the jewelry of Bulgari makes her outfit complete.

Meh..
Julia Roberts in Givenchy Couture.  I don’t know who her stylist is, but this woman has a fab body and then you let her wear this?! No. The peplum isn’t for everybody.
Elsa Pataki in Ellie Saab. I won’t bash on a pregnant lady, but this dress just doesn’t fit her the right way. They should have altered the dress or just pick a whole different dress for her. At least her hair and make up look good and Chris looks good for the both of them.
